I wrote Part I in 2019 (click to read). It was about underwear that I buy for my boys and how tickled D1 was regarding a pair of underwear I bought him.
Tonight, I write Part II. I have to pen this down because this time round, it was me that laughed my socks off.
Those of you who have sons will know this but for some reason, boys like to walk around freely in their underwear/boxers at home. And they like doing this even though they have become teenagers or even older. Whenever we have guests, I have to message them to tell them to go put on more clothes and be more decent.
If my helper goes upstairs to the kids’ rooms, she would usually holler “I’m coming up” so that they can scramble and look more decent by the time she reaches their floor.
Anyway, back in 2019, I wrote about how tickled D1 was when he had his first boxer with a flap in front.
This time round, it was D2. Recently, D2 came walking into my room randomly and, as usual, he was in only his boxers. I wanted to embarrass him so that he would go put on more clothes. So, I asked, “Hey, D2, so, have you ever used that flap to pee before? Tell me, is it really effective?” Whereupon, the look of realisation swept over D2. He exclaimed, “OH, so that’s what the flap is for!” And he promptly went into the washroom to try it out.
Then, I asked him, “You didn’t know? So, all this time, what did you think the flap was for? Surely not for ventilation, like your brother had originally thought.”
He retorted from the washroom, “Of course not. I thought it was for us to scratch our b****s.”
